About this deal

She told him that she is in love with a man and is pregnant with his child, but he's married and wants her to get an abortion. Junji Ito’s Lovesickness collection is really more of a graphic novel with some short stories tacked on at the end because the stories that comprise the main story take up about 250 of the 400 pages in this book.

I might say that the ten stories here are not appreciably better or worse than other collections (so, 3 stars? This story certainly wasn’t without its faults, but I talk it up so much because I have to be frank about the rest of this collection: I didn’t like it. If you're new to the author's works or horror manga, this would be a solid introduction to his bibliography or the genre as a whole. A saddened Ryuusuke walks the desolate streets, and stumbles into a man who is looking to get his fortune told.

The most common obsessions are with beauty, long hair, and beautiful girls, especially in his Tomie and Flesh-Colored Horror comic collections. The collection features the official English release of Lovesick Dead, originally released in Japan in 1997, as well as both of Ito's stories featuring the Hikizuri siblings, among others. Reishi appears and continues to moan for her Bishounen, but Ryuusuke ends up convincing her that he's not the Bishounen and to go rest in peace, to which she does.

He inspires another couple the same age as him and Midori to fall in love and help carry out his duties, as well as a depressed businessman to find a new purpose in life. His longest work, the three-volume Uzumaki, is about a town's obsession with spirals: people become variously fascinated with, terrified of, and consumed by the countless occurrences of the spiral in nature. Before it's official English release, it was completely scanlated by fans, with the title Undying Love.
