About this deal

Another sequel and prequel were in development in 2021. [17] In 2023, Voltage Pictures said that After Everything is the fifth and final chapter of the franchise. so this is ever after, however, completely omits the 'adventure' that occurred and which brought all of the main characters together, choosing to instead give snippets of recollections of their adventures together occasionally throughout the book. it takes the epilogue, showing all of the characters happy and successful, and builds on it instead, telling us about what it took to get there, and i adored that. But not just any family. Eight brothers and sisters, assorted in-laws, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, (not to mention an overweight corgi), plus an irrepressible matriarch who’s a match for any of them… These are the Bridgertons: less a family than a force of nature. Through eight bestselling novels, readers laughed, cried, and fell in love. But they wanted more. Celé to začíná ve chvíli, kdy parta přátel v čele Arekem (ehm Artušem) porazí záporáka, super zlého krále, co všechny terorizoval. No a co teď? Jo a ještě je teda zamilovaný do svého čaroděje Matta (ehm Merlina), ale je to komplikované 😜 I was off to a bad start with this book when the author proclaimed that as an LSE professor he was not expected to swear. He then goes on to say that there is no correlation to swearing being due to poor vocabulary/and or low intelligence. There is however evidence to suggest that students pay more attention to a teacher who swears! That's my exclamation point. The author then says that swearing is only ever harmful when it is aggressive or abusive and proceeds to litter the book with swearing as if to prove his point. This I found unnecessary and crude and felt it didn't help me learn in the slightest.

Some of the major questions Dolan discusses are thing such as: should you have children? Is monogamy optimal for happiness? Does wealth make us happier? What about education? And health? Our Book and Pamper Box is perfect for those book lovers who love a good pamper and like to get nice and cosy with their book. Alongside a new book, you will also receive a beauty product, some yummy chocolate, hot drink and a bookmark. The products are of course vegan, so with a different beauty product and chocolate in each box it is a perfect vegan gift for her.But when prophecy-fulfilling Arek was dared to remove the bloody crown from the lopped-off head and put it on, he had no idea of the magical, permanent requirement that he'd be required to fulfill. Or die. And soon. Somehow this story reminded me of Something Fabulous by Alexis Hall. It’s as hilarious, ridiculous, marvelous, glorious, and amorous. It’s also full of banter, and so vibrant and sweet, and sometimes almost over the top. But don’t let the tone of the writing fool you; there are heavier hitting topics underneath. This one wasn't really that special in my book but I think if you go into it with the mindset its' more of a family dynamic book than a romance you may enjoy it more :).

The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After - Julia Quinn

With their parents retired and the family wedding planning business finally theirs, the de la Rosa sisters have a lot on their plate. But when Pearl and Marisol cannot stop clashing about their ideas for the business, things start unraveling. This isn’t helped by Jane’s discovery that their parents might not have been the best with the financials and their family business isn’t as safe as they thought it was. The summary of the book also sounded interesting. I have been reading a lot of historical mysteries as well as some heavy women’s fiction and frankly I needed something that was going to be more along the lines of a ‘rom-com’ and that’s exactly that this book promised on the description! Well, there is no shortage of fun and excitement like the sudden snowmageddon in the middle of spring, and other dramas that sure kept this story fun! Paul Dolan, the bestselling author of Happiness by Design , shows us how to escape the myth of perfection and find our own route to happiness. Despite its marketing claims, The Key to Happily Ever After is a beautifully rendered story about sisterhood, sacrifices, and compromises - particularly within the complex dynamics of Filipino families.

To complicate matters further, Arek’s best friend and mage, Matt, uncovers a law that states Arek must find a soulmate to bond with before his next birthday, or he will die on the throne. If life was easy, Arek would profess his feelings for Matt right there, having been silently in love with him for ages.

Happily Ever After by Kiera Cass | Goodreads

Arek has just defeated the villain reigning over his kingdom, successfully completing the prophecy he was destined for. He and his friends soon find the only heir dead, leaving the rather unexperienced Arek to step up as king before another corrupt ruler can take the throne. Perhaps we got off on the wrong foot. The first third of the book - which seemed to be arguing that 'because money/success can't bring you happiness, we should take money from anyone who has more than just enough (for whatever reason) and give it to those who (for whatever reason) does not' - really lost me, and seemed more to be about the author railing about how uncomfortable he was being labelled 'middle class' than about anything to do with happiness. Human nature is like that, we want more (even just 'to be comfortable') as opposed to enough. This seemed to be a manifesto to praise the mediocre. The romance had me in a chokehold from the start. If I haven’t implied it a thousand times in this review alone, best-friend-to-lovers is my absolute favourite romance trope, so I was bound to love Matt and Arek fiercely. Their opposing personalities made their dynamic all the more interesting, with Arek being impulsive and sarcastic, while Matt was his counterpart, responsible and put-together. The miscommunication trope is rampant, relied upon to drive the conflict between Matt and Arek, though I found I was surprisingly unbothered by it, too swept up in the whimsy of the story as a whole.
